 The Champions League final between Chelsea and Manchester City will now be played in Portugal after the UK government and UEFA could not reach an agreement over quarantine exemptions for more than 2,000 VIPs, staff, and media for the match to be played at Wembley.    The all-English final between the Premier League clubs was originally scheduled for the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul on May 29, but the devastating Covid outbreak in Turkey forced UEFA to look at alternative venues.    The Wembley stadium in England was considered as one of the possible venues, but the UK government has placed the country on its red list for travel, and banned English fans from going.   According to Sports Mail, the 50,000-capacity Estadio do Dragao in Porto has now been lined up as the venue for the final after UEFA struck a deal with the Portuguese authorities over the attendance at the match.   Chelsea and Manchester City will each receive a ticket allocation of between...

J.Cole opens up about his retirement plans

 Rapper, J.Cole is thinking about retiring from music. Ahead of the release of his new album The Off-Season, the Grammy Award winning rapper opened up about his future in the rap game as he coverex the June/July 2021 issue of SLAM magazine. Back in December, Cole announced plans for three more projects including The Off-Season, It’s a Boy, and The Fall Off, which is rumored to be his final album. According to Cole he wants to make sure he gives his all if he does decide to leave it all behind. “Oh, bro, I’m super comfortable with the potential of being done with this shit. Ellen DeGeneres to end her talk show amid 'bullying' allegations

 After 18 seasons on air and huge ratings, the talk-show host is expected to make an announcement explaining why she’s pulling the plug today, May 12, according to The Daily Mail.   The publication have said that a source told them it’s because Ellen "has had enough and told her team that she’s done".   The insider said: "She's promised one more season after this one and will exit at the end of the 2021/2022 season.   This comes as several former and current employees of The Ellen Show accused the 63-year-old host of ignoring "bullying" by executives.   The employees in question also accused the star of fostering a "toxic" work environment in general.   Ellen had apologized following the accusations.

Governor Uzodinma sacks 20 commissioners, dissolves State executive council

 Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state on Wednesday May 12, sacked 20 commissioners and also dissolved the state executive council.    Commissioner for Information and Strategy Declan Emelumba who made the announcement on behalf of the Governor, told newsmen that the decision was taken to rejig the activities of the state government after one year in office.   Only eight commissioners were left to carry on with their activities and they are the commissioners for Health, Information, Tourism, Women Affairs, Works, Finance, Youths and the Ministry of Technology.

UK prime minister, Boris Johnson confirms up to 10,000 football fans will be allowed at sports stadiums from 17 May

 The English Premier League clubs will welcome up to 10,000 supporters inside stadiums for the final two rounds of fixtures. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed the news as lockdown restrictions continue to ease from May 17. In his press conference, he said: "From Monday 17 May indoor hospitality can reopen and indoor entertainment can resume, including cinemas, museums, and children’s play areas.   "All remaining outdoor entertainment can reopen, such as outdoor cinemas and performances.   "Some larger events will be able to take place, including conferences, theatre and concert performances, and sports events. Restrictions on the number of attendees will remain as set out in the Roadmap."
